Rıza Ömer Çinkılıç, born in Istanbul in 1969, completed his secondary education at Canbulat High School in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business and Economics, at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU).  

He began his professional career in 1995 as an Assistant Registrar at the EMU Registrar’s Office, eventually becoming Head of Office in 2004. From 2004 to 2007, he played a key role in developing EMU’s promotion and student recruitment strategies, participating in education fairs and coordinating outreach visits to high schools and educational institutions.  

In 2008, Mr. Çinkılıç was appointed as the TRNC representative to Oman under the TRNC Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this time, he also represented EMU at educational exhibitions and events in countries such as Russia, the UAE, St. Petersburg, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, and Pakistan.  

In 2011, he assumed the position of Careers Advisor at the EMU Alumni Office. He later transitioned to the EMU General Secretary’s Office, where he served as Deputy General Secretary until October 2024.  

Following this role, in October 2024, Mr. Çinkılıç was appointed as a consultant under the Eastern Mediterranean University Foundation Board of Trustees. He now focuses on the development and implementation of EMU Green and Renewable Energy Projects, continuing to contribute to the university’s strategic initiatives and sustainability goals.
