Birgül Beyatlı, born in 1967 and a mother of two, graduated from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir. She worked as an architect in various offices in İzmir, Turkey, and Nicosia, North Cyprus, between 1990 and 1996. Since 1996, she has continued her work in architectural design and interior architecture from her own office located in Nicosia. In addition to her architectural identity, Birgül Beyatlı is an active civil society volunteer. She has served as a board member of the Chamber of Architects, a treasurer and an Expert Commission Member of the Turkish Cypriot Union of Engineers and Architects, a board member of the Cyprus Turkish Education Foundation, and as a founding member and president of both the Kyrenia Inner Wheel Club and the Women Entrepreneurs Association. Since 2012, she has also been a founding member and a trustee of the Mustafa Güvenir Arın Güvenir Education Foundation.
