Dr. Hassina Nafa is an Architect and Town Planner with a strong emphasis on urban development practices. Her academic journey commenced in 1988, during which she served as a consultant in various architectural firms. She holds a PhD in Construction Management and has a keen interest in urban branding. In 1999, she became a member of Girne American University, where she currently holds the position of Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Design & Fine Arts. Dr. Nafa has contributed to numerous proceedings and publications on both national and international levels and has organized a variety of workshops. Throughout her career, she has collaborated on multiple projects with the municipality of Kyrenia. Additionally, she has been an active participant in the NGO ‘Society for International Development – Lefkoşa Chapter’ since 1999, overseeing several initiatives aimed at advancing development in Cyprus. She is proficient in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic.
