In 1998, after earning his master’s degree in Urbanism from Islamic Azad University (Iran), he began working as an urban planner/designer in approximately 20 different cities and regions across the country. Through these projects, he observed a significant lack of tourism despite Iran's immense potential and numerous attractions. Motivated to address this gap, he established Iran's first research company focused on the tourism industry, delivering a variety of projects for touristic zones.

He successfully completed several notable tourism projects, and in 2003, he received the award for Best Research in the Tourism Industry in Iran for his “Silk Road” project. This project spanned the country’s northwest to northeast regions, encompassing 17 cities. In 2013, he completed his PhD in placemaking at the Department of Architecture, Eastern Mediterranean University. He then joined Cyprus International University as an instructor in the Department of Architecture. Since then, he has dedicated himself to enhancing the quality of education on the island, particularly in urban studies. Along with colleagues at CIU, he co-founded a research center for urban studies, aiming to improve the quality of life in North Cyprus.

He has published articles in various academic journals and has presented at numerous international conferences. His research interests include Urban Design, Urban Planning, Design Theory, Urban Semiotics, Urban Public Places, Placemaking, Urban Spaces, Urban Tourism, and Urban Economy.
