Emrah Kaymak got his Bachelor (2007) in Interior Architecture from I.D. Bilkent University, Ankara - Turkey and specialized (2007-2008) in Interior Design and Tv Set Design from Istituto Superiore di Architettura e Design (ISAD), Milan - Italy. He worked in various design offices in Milan. He returned to Turkey at the end of 2008 and took part in many national and international projects in various construction companies and design offices until 2012. In 2012, he established the Spatial Mekansal Fikirler (Spatial Ideas)   brand and merged it under the EKY Project Interior Design and Construction Co. In 2012, he became the founding member of Chamber of Interior Architects (CIAT) Ankara Branch and became the President of the 1st and 2nd term board. In 2016, as a result of the elections held at the 23rd Term General Assembly of Chamber of Interior Architects (CIAT) he was elected as the President. In the 24th, 25th and 26th terms, he was re-elected as President. In 2022, as result of elections held at the 22nd term General Assembly of International Federation Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) he was elected as the youngest and    22nd President of IFI. He is among the founders of the Design Planning and Accreditation Association (TAPLAK) and served in the board as the Vice President in 2020-2022. In 2023, he resigned from CIAT Presidency and became a parliamentary nominee for Turkish Parliament.  In 2024, as result of elections held at the 23rd term General Assembly of International Federation Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) he was elected as the Excom Member and serving as Past President of IFI. In 2024, as a result of the elections held at the 27th term General Assembly of Chamber of Interior Architects (CIAT) he was elected as President. 

Together with his administrative duties in the professional organizations, he has been continuing his professional practice both in national and international levels and he is giving special importance to create good and close relations with the industry stakeholders. He has been using all the experience that he has gained through this process to create financial, cultural and business opportunities for the national, regional and international professional organizations. Not only developing strong relations with the industry, he has also been working for the public awareness and legal rights of Interior Architecture/Design by being in touch with the governmental bodies. Now he thinks bigger and he is aiming to use all the experience he has gained in a global scale for the future of Interior Architecture/Design.
