She completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Architecture at Yıldız Technical University in 1983 and her master’s degree in 1987. She earned the title of Doctor in 1995 with her dissertation titled Architectural Design Process and Indoor Air Quality, conducted at the Department of Architecture at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Throughout her academic career, which began in 1985, she has taught courses on architectural projects, structures, and sustainable architecture. Between 1989 and 1990, she worked as an architect at the Common Services Agency in Glasgow. She continues her research on architectural design and the environmental performance impacts of buildings. In addition to lecturing as a part-time Assistant Professor, she also works as an authorized instructor for Energy Performance Certificate (EKB) specialization under the authorization of the Ministry of Energy, Urbanization, and Climate Change, as well as the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey (TMMOB).
The panel for the Propertync Awards consists of a diverse group of judges, including 35% from TRNC, 35% from Turkey, and 30% from international backgrounds across various fields of expertise. These judges are assigned to review entries across all award categories, with each judge evaluating submissions that align with their specific area of knowledge.
