Maurizio joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2002 as a 3D designer, contributing to several high-profile international competitions, including the VBMW Central Building in Leipzig and the Florence Train Station. In 2003, he relocated to Italy to collaborate with the structural engineering team on the MAXXI Museum project in Rome.
In 2006, Maurizio returned to Zaha Hadid Architects as Project Architect for the CityLife Housing Development in Milan, which was completed in 2013. That same year, he moved to the London office, where he has since led a variety of large-scale projects across Europe, Australia, Asia, and North America. His work focuses on masterplans and mixed-use developments. In 2020, Maurizio was appointed Associate Director, reflecting his leadership and significant contributions to the firm's global portfolio.
Education -
Maurizio holds a degree in Architecture from the Università degli Studi di Firenze and a Master’s in Architecture from the Design Research Laboratory at the Architectural Association in London.
Teaching and Academic Contributions -
Since 2004, Maurizio has been actively engaged in academia. He has served as a faculty member at the Università degli Studi di Firenze and has delivered lectures and participated in design critiques at various universities in Italy and the United States, sharing his professional expertise and insights.
The panel for the Propertync Awards consists of a diverse group of judges, including 35% from TRNC, 35% from Turkey, and 30% from international backgrounds across various fields of expertise. These judges are assigned to review entries across all award categories, with each judge evaluating submissions that align with their specific area of knowledge.
