Born in Istanbul in 1967, Cengiz Ertürk completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul before graduating from Kabataş High School for Boys. He pursued higher education at Çukurova University’s Tourism and Hotel Management Department, gaining practical experience in tourism operations during his studies.  

Cengiz began his career in 1997 at Anadolu Sigorta’s Fire Department as an Assistant Risk Management Specialist. He received specialized training in insurance techniques in collaboration with Munich-Re in Turkey and Germany. In 2002, he was promoted to Senior Risk Management Specialist at the Marmara Regional Office and became Regional Deputy Manager in 2004.  

In 2010, Cengiz was appointed Manager of Anadolu Sigorta's Cyprus Branch. Following his retirement from Anadolu Sigorta on March 31, 2019, he joined Near East Insurance as General Manager on April 1, 2019, a position he continues to hold.  

Cengiz Ertürk has made significant contributions to the development of the insurance sector in Cyprus. Since 2010, he has held various roles, including membership in advisory committees, the Guarantee Fund, the Disciplinary Board, and the Fire and Natural Disasters Committee. Additionally, he has served as Vice President of the TRNC Insurance and Reinsurance Companies Association, contributing greatly to the sector's advancement.
