''As it is with all parts of the economy, the property and real estate industry plays a big role in the TRNC economy. A few years ago, the estate industry was at its peak, but after the world was affected by the economical crisis, this sector also had some set backs. This sector was specifically affected because it is directly involved with foreign investors and buyers showing interest in the TRNC, which affects our image. For this reason, we must be dedicated to developing this sector. To accomplish this, we must never sway from quality, by always working according to what is fair and legal. As long as we stick by these 2 principles, I believe that the sector will show a lot of progress and we can overcome any problems that may occur. The development of this sector is very important for the TRNC. If we consider the great contribution to our economy, its value is obvious to all. Of course as much as the economical value, we must also keep in mind its influence on the social and environmental values. While investments and developments are made, we all must consider how much we affect the natural environment. The natural beauty of our environment always comes first. Therefore we must develop the sector but while doing so, protect the natural beauty of our island. As important as the property and real estate sector may be, the recognition and presentation is a key step in development. It is clear to me that as a magazine you have undertook this task as a responsibity with quality standards. I hope for higher quality standards and best of luck for the future.''
