Since The Box is a container design, it can be moved very easily. So facilities, access and distance can be changed accordingly. Hence, we decided a pilot site in Boğazköy, Girne which is basically on the main road. The place is between Kyrenia and Nicosia, so the user can access everywhere with a car or public transportation, in a short time. The Box itself is also movable, so the resident can move the home-office with a small investment if it is necessary.

Interior material plate is made up of raw concrete, natural wood and black painted metal details. The materials all symbolize a rigid and distinct bearing of its user’s social figure in the public.

Wood is used as a wrapping texture in the working area in order to maintain the feeling of concentration. Then, the interior surface materials dramatically change when the user changes places between his private and social areas in order to emphasize the ‘resting’ and ‘working’ areas. There is no access given to the private areas of the user such as shower and kitchen; and a black metal frame is used as a separation for the main areas of the interior.
